1967 Mercedes Benz 250SL

Late 1966, the Mercedes Benz 230SL was succeeded by the 250 SL model. Its 6-cylinder in-line engine also had an output of 150hp, yet generated 10% more torque, giving the 1967 Mercedes Benz 250SL a faster 0 to 60 time by more than 1.1 seconds. Quite simply, the Mercedes 250SL picked up where the 230SL left off. The car’s exterior styling continued to use the clean, elegant and angular lines of the 230 SL, while the intelligent placement of the wheels in proportion to the rest of the body design and the tall, Pagoda removable hardtop gave passengers and drivers ease of access to the cabin. The Mercedes 250SL 1967 also used a monocoque chassis with front suspension, while the rear incorporated a single-pivot swing axle and transverse springs set up to compensate for camber. 4-wheel disc brakes were also implemented for additional braking power. Buyers also had more options inside the cabin, with access to leather, plush, supportive seats, big gauges, and the world class Mercedes Benz craftsmanship throughout.
