Jimmy Tielemans

My name is Jimmy Tielemans, Marketeer at E&R Classics. Before I started working at E&R Classics, I followed the Marketing & Communication and Marketing Management courses.

During my part-time study Marketing Management I started working at an online marketing agency, which only increased my interest in digital marketing. I have been involved in (online) marketing for about 10 years and have worked at various marketing agencies and companies.

After working at various companies, it was time to follow my real passion: (classic) cars. Because what could be better than combining your work with your passion?

My very first car was a dark blue Volkswagen Polo. It was lowered, had sports rims and a sports exhaust. Although it looked (in my opinion) great, the exhaust on the highway eventually drove me crazy. The first thing my brother did was fitting a normal exhaust when he took over this car from me.

My dream car is a Ford GT40 in the Gulf colors. If I had to choose a classic from our range, I would go for a Jaguar E-Type Coupe in Gunmetal Gray or a Triumph TR6 in British Racing Green with chrome wire wheels.

Suppose you had to give someone a lift. Who would that be and why?
Jeremy Clarkson, ex host of the motoring show Top Gear. As a child I watched car shows endlessly, Top Gear being by far my favorite show. Of the three presenters, I thought Jeremy Clarkson was the funniest.

What is your best car related memory?
My best car-related memories are that I used to go crossing in the woods with my father in his pick-up. Nowadays we take it a bit easier and enjoy motorcycling and touring with American vintage cars.

What makes a working day at E&R Classics so much fun for you?
The diversity; no working day is the same at E&R Classics. The possibilities are endless and every day I am amazed at what beautiful classic cars are in our showroom, it never gets boring. The atmosphere within the company is very good and it is nice to work with colleagues who share the same passion for cars and old-timers.
