1958 Porsche 356

The 1958 Porsche 356 models had a new body, designated the T-2. Vent wings appeared on the Convertible doors and Coupes had the extra option to have wind-wings on their window frames. A quick way to differentiate a 1959 Porsche 356 from its Type A predecessors is the door striker plate, which was moved lower than in previous models. Two exhaust pipes now exited through the lower part of each bumper guard.

While more than 77000 Porsche 356 cars were made throughout production span, less than half remain today. When buying a 1958 Porsche 356, be aware that the fiberglass top option on open top cars adds considerably to the value. Also know that inspecting for rust is imperative, as no rust protection was offered when they were manufactured.
