1950 Porsche 356 Pre-A

Despite being relatively expensive for its day in the US, the Porsche 356 found its audience quickly after its debut. The 356’s growing pedigree on the racing circuit would solidify its place in the European sports car market. Launched in 1949, the 1950 Porsche 356 Pre-A would be one of the first Porsche production cars to hit the streets. The early 356 models were handcrafted in aluminium, but when production was moved to Germany models became steel-bodied.
