With the introduction of the 997 Turbo in 2006, Porsche once again set the benchmark for supercars that could be driven every day. A year later, the Cabriolet followed: the same performance, but with the roof down. At the heart of the car is the 3.6-litre flat-six engine featuring two turbochargers with variable turbine geometry, a technology Porsche was the first to introduce on a petrol engine in a production car. While the standard Turbo produces 480 hp, this engine has been tuned by a specialist to deliver 540 hp. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through the Tiptronic S transmission, featuring steering-wheel-mounted shift buttons. The Sport Chrono Package Plus with stopwatch and the electronically controlled PASM suspension complete the technical package, complemented by PSM, tyre pressure monitoring and fuel cooling.
