With the 996, Porsche took the biggest step in the history of the 911 at the end of the 1990s: for the first time, the iconic model was powered by a water-cooled flat-six engine. The Turbo represented the absolute pinnacle of the range, and when Porsche added a Cabriolet version in 2003, it became the first open-top 911 Turbo since the legendary 930 Turbo Cabriolet.
At the heart of this car is the 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine with twin turbochargers, an engine with its roots in the racing unit of the 911 GT1 and producing 420 hp in this application. Power is transferred to the road in a controlled manner through the Tiptronic S automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive, with Porsche Stability Management providing an additional safety net. This particular example was originally delivered in Germany and comes from its third owner. The original books are present and fully stamped, the service history is known and the odometer reads 82,538 kilometres. The car also remains in its original paint. In 2025, the gearbox was rebuilt and the soft top was recently renewed, allowing the next owner to simply get in and enjoy.
