One of the most exclusive cars in the history of Spanish automotive engineering: this Pegaso Z-102 GT Berlinetta is the oldest surviving example and one of only two prototypes. The car was first presented at the 1951 Paris Motor Show, where it immediately attracted attention as a futuristic prestige project, developed under the leadership of Wifredo Ricart, a former top engineer at Alfa Romeo and then managing director of Pegaso. This Berlinetta was never intended for mass production or profit, so all the technical registers were pulled: a monocoque chassis, independent suspension, a De Dion rear axle, and an advanced aluminum 2.5-liter V8 engine with 165 hp and a top speed of 200 km/h. It was extensively restored by a historically aware collector and convincingly won "Best of Show" at Techno Classica Essen 2023. A photo report of the restoration, the original brochure, instruction booklet, Essen Trophy, and various documents about the car's history are included.
