With the TF, MG brought the era of the classic T-series to a close in 1953—and in the finest way imaginable. While the preceding TD looked somewhat simple, the TF featured a lower-mounted grille integrated into the nose, headlights slanted towards the rear, and a more streamlined bonnet line. The result is one of the most beautiful of all MG T-types. The most significant update followed in 1954: the engine was upgraded to a more powerful 1250cc four-cylinder unit, making the TF 1250 noticeably livelier and smoother to drive. This engine is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox, just as a true British sports car should be.
