When MG introduced the MGA in 1955, the brand made a radical break from the pre-war image of the T-series. Its streamlined bodywork was designed by Syd Enever and originated from a special racing body built for Le Mans, giving the MGA an instantly modern, sporty appearance. The car became a huge success and grew into one of the most beloved British roadsters ever built. This 1961 MGA is powered by a 1600cc four-cylinder engine, here equipped with an aluminum radiator. A notable feature is the 5-speed manual gearbox—a very welcome upgrade that makes the car much more relaxed to drive over longer distances. Front disc brakes ensure impressive stopping power.
