Rare Mercedes-Benz G36 AMG for sale
The G-Class was introduced in 1979 as a rugged off-road vehicle. Mercedes-Benz developed it together with Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Graz. In 1990, the more luxurious W463 series followed, transforming the G-Class from a workhorse into a highly desirable luxury off-roader. In the mid-1990s, the new collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and AMG resulted in the G36 AMG. This was the first G-Class to receive the AMG treatment straight from the factory, making it the predecessor of all the powerful G-Class models that followed. With only 120 examples built, this is one of the rarest G-Class models ever produced. Under the bonnet lies the 3.6-litre inline six-cylinder engine, paired with an automatic transmission. The permanent four-wheel drive and three selectable differential locks ensure that this G36 AMG remains a genuine off-road vehicle. The service history of this example is available, along with the original booklets. The odometer shows 94,603 kilometres and the car is in very good condition.
