The Kougar brand was founded in the UK in the 1970s by Rick Stevens with a clear goal: to build pure, lightweight sports cars in the spirit of the legendary British racers of the 1950s. The mechanical components came from Jaguar, which is precisely what makes this car so special. Only 200 units were built, making the Kougar Sports a rare sight today. Beneath the long bonnet lies Jaguar’s famous 4.2-litre six-cylinder engine, fed by three SU carburettors and equipped with a performance camshaft for added character. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission. Weighing in at just 940 kg, the power-to-weight ratio is nothing short of impressive.

Kougar Sports Mk2 in British Racing Green for sale
The British Racing Green paintwork is the perfect colour for this British racer, beautifully accentuating the muscular lines of the cycle-style wings and the tapered tail. The round white racing roundels on the nose and tail, the oval chrome grille with vertical slats, and the chrome wire wheels complete the racing look. An exhaust with a perforated heat shield runs along the side, while two small aero screens with chrome mounts replace the traditional windshield. The Jaguar emblem on the tail hints at what lies beneath the bonnet. Inside the right-hand drive cockpit, you sit low on beige leather upholstery—which displays a lovely patina—secured by blue four-point harnesses that underscore the car's sporty nature. The green dashboard featuring round gauges, the wood-rimmed steering wheel with aluminium spokes, and the aluminium gear knob create a clean, functional cockpit layout. The warm beige interior offers a classic contrast to the deep green bodywork, evoking the atmosphere of British racers in their heyday.
