When Jaguar introduced the Mk2 in 1959, the marque instantly set the benchmark for the sporting saloon. The 3.8 was always the most desirable version: equipped with the legendary 3.8-litre six-cylinder engine with twin overhead camshafts, it was one of the fastest four-door cars in the world during the 1960s, both on the racetrack and on public roads.
This 1967 Jaguar Mk2 is equipped with a manual gearbox with overdrive, allowing the six-cylinder engine to run comfortably at motorway speeds. It also features disc brakes all around, which was certainly not something to be taken for granted at the time. The car is furthermore fitted with a stainless-steel exhaust system.
